Analysis of Field-Based Research Case Studies on Sustain-Ability and Its Impact on Employee Driven by his commitment to advancing sustainability-centered organizational transformation, and undertaken during his pursuit of a master’s degree, Karamray conducted an applied, field-based case study thesis examining the relationship between sustainability strategy and employee behaviour within organizational settings. Grounded in, and supportive of, the five principles of sustainability, inclusion, connection, prudence, equity, and security, his research analyzed the University of Waterloo’s Environmental Sustainability Strategy and its influence on the Green Office Ambassador Network (GOAN). The study explored how institutional culture, employee well-being, and intrinsic motivation shape participation in workplace sustainability initiatives, revealing the behavioural enablers and barriers that affect long-term engagement. By integrating analytical methods with field-based statistical observations, he identified gaps between strategic sustainability goals and actual employee participation, offering actionable recommendations to strengthen institutional learning and cultivate a values-aligned, sustainability-driven culture. In a complementary study, he examined organizational behaviour and employee turnover in the service industry through research involving Seneca College students employed across diverse sectors. This investigation demonstrated how leadership practices, communication patterns, and workplace culture influence retention, morale, and productivity. Collectively, these research efforts reflect my commitment to applying evidence-based insights that bridge sustainability principles with organizational effectiveness, workforce resilience, and long-term organizational well-being.

Our Mindset

The StratAttain Institute was founded with a clear mission: to raise awareness among organizations, whether institutions, corporations, or SMEs, about the most influential yet often overlooked stakeholders in corporate sustainability development and management, namely, their employees. Employees play a critical role in shaping and advancing an organization’s environmental sustainability strategy, yet their involvement is frequently underestimated. To address this gap, the exclusive Flagship MasterClass, “Fundamental Strategies for Corporate Sustainability Development and Management” was developed. This MasterClass emphasizes and substantiates the principle that employees hold an intrinsic and legitimate role within an organization’s framework, one that can be effectively articulated and leveraged as a compelling Business Case for Corporate Sustainability. Building on this principle, the StratAttain Institute is committed to advancing knowledge, fostering meaningful impact, and contributing to a more sustainable world. Its mission is to bridge the critical divide between corporate expectations (enhanced reputation and economic benefits) and employee engagement, enabling organizations to achieve measurable progress in Sustainability Development and Management.
